Eligibility

To qualify, you must have the "3-Ms":

  • Military: Served at least 90 days on active duty, with an honorable discharge.
  • Money: Have limited assets and income (exempting your home and car).
  • Medical: Need assistance with daily living activities due to a non-service-connected condition.
War Periods

If you served during one of the following wars, you may be eligible:

  • World War II (Dec 7, 1941 - Dec 31, 1946)
  • Korean Conflict (June 27, 1950 - Jan 31, 1955)
  • Vietnam Era (Aug 5, 1964 - May 7, 1975)
  • Persian Gulf War (Aug 2, 1990 - present)
Monthly Benefits
  • Single veteran: up to $1,800
  • Surviving spouse: up to $1,500
  • Couple: up to $2,000
